Online grocery in Sweden returns to growth after two years

The online channel has returned to growth after an almost two-year-long streak of declining sales. The return growth was mainly driven by home delivery. It grew for a fourth consecutive month, recording an increase of 3,2% from the year ago.

With 3,9% of the market, the share of online is almost the same as last year. As the Click & Collect channel keeps on declining albeit slightly (-0,8%), home delivery is already almost 60% of all online grocery orders.

It is interesting to follow where the online share continues to grow as we get to winter. Last year, online share peaked at 4,9% of all groceries.
